Put new plugs and wires in. No help it rought. Going to put a new coil and distribator cap on tomorrow. ( waiting for part store to open). First of all, what exactly happened when you replaced the speed sensor? Was that replaced because it was tested and had failed?
..
Once you've attempted to start a vehicle with the cables backwards, a lot could have gone wrong: beside fuses being damaged, it is most likely you have also inadvertently damaged some of the vehicle's delicate electronics and to be perfectly honest, getting it to run right may require replacing some of those very expensive modules.
Having said all that, I wouldn't put another part on the car that hasn't been properly tested and determined to be failed.
..
At this point, you need to decide if more of your hard earned money needs to go into this car or if the money and effort would be better spent on something newer and already running...
