Hi, I have a 5.3hp 6000rpm engine, and I am thinking of connecting it to a 2500watt
Output generator to run it.. any one tell me if a 5.3hp engine can run a 2500watt

Coiuple problems you likely never thought of...

Generators typically need a different type of governor than other engines... on that maintains the engine speed very constant under changing loads... because otherwise you won't maintain a 60 Hz line frequency (50 Hz in some other countries).

And some things can be damaged if it deviates very far from it.

If you look at replacement engines... there are certain ones SPECIFICALLY meant for generator applications...
