I'm still confuse...
Do my friend's bad eat pattern which is anti vegetables can be solve by only doing exercise regularly?

Or it is better to eat enough green without having some exercise?

To maintain health you need all of the five food groups, this includes green vegetables along with exercise.

Exercise does not replace the nutrients that proper nutrition gives.

Just to add to J_9's answer, it is stated that you need 5 portions of fruit and vegetables to maintain a healthy diet this means not eating junk food and drinking plenty of water and maintaining a exercise routine.
If you do not eat fruit and veg you will end up lacking in certain vitamins and possibly become sick.

We all need 3-5 servings of veggies a day, to get the nutrients our bodies need.

But 1 serving: is 1/2 cup leafy veggies
1/2 cup cooked or raw
3/4 cup veggie juice

So if they don't like veggies, when they see that it really takes only small portions maybe it'll be more appealing. You need all food groups, but the portion sizes are what's important and the food pyramid has been revised in 2005 and its a lot more understandable and serving size is really stressed for proper nutrition, as well as the importance of exercise for total health.

Just to annoy you all, I eat loads of junk food I very rarely get my 5 a day in fact never... and hardly ever eat fruit. I do try and get vitamin c every day to keep colds away but otherwise my diet is shocking people laugh at the fact. But in saying that I do so much sport and with keeping my modesty in check I am fit healthy and good at most sports and very much in shape.

But yeah okay I agree you should eat a balanced diet it makes sense, but its also important to stay active and happy

You might not notice it now, but in the long run you will. You need fruits and vegetables which contain vitamins and minerals that you can't get from eating just meats, breads and legumes.

What's wrong with vegetables? And everyone likes fruit. Fitness is important, and will be easier if you eat right. It's really not that hard you just have to figure out what you like to eat and then but them and don't buy (at least as much) junk food.
