It started this week. For the first few minutes, engine speed oscillates every couple of seconds between 2500 and 2800 rpm and car lurches accordingly. Then after driving it a mile or two, problem goes away.

Engine and TCS light just came on a couple of days ago (same time as problem) The SRS has been on for a year. Otherwise, it's great; enjoy the vehicle

Thought it might be the ICM from previous answers. Today, idling on driveway, same sputtering and it never smoothed out.

Check for codes--that will send you in the right direction. Your Honda does not have an ICM. It has individual coil drivers for each coil-on-plug. The drivers are built into the Engine Control Module (ECM) and would need to be repaired, if necessary.

Ensure the spark plugs (NGK only) have been changed in the last 50,000 miles.
