They told me they destroy after 7 years. I need copies of checks written in 2003 & 2004. Is there any on microfilm or digital somewhere?

Only the bank will know this, but it is not uncommon for them not to keep records longer than this. You may talk to a manager in accounting and/or book keeping, to see if there is any other option, even if you have to pay for it
