Commercial washer has a 3in pipe on it connecting to a 1in drain line. Will that miss up the washer machine if I tide into the 1in drain pipe?

Is this washer used in the correctional setting or is it used in the home? For commercial washer we use 3 inch connecting to the house may connecting to a 4 inch main. For a house washer we install 2 inch drain lines. Does this answer your questions? Tom
