How can my son understand me? All I wanted is the best for him, but we always ended up arguing and fighting?

My son and I always ended up arguing almost in everything he keep on telling me that I already change unlike when he in high school but I think for he's the who change. He's hurting me the way he don't agree with me especially when I'm teaching him things I notice to him, but all I want is the best for I love my son but I don't know to handle him anymore.

To help you further, you are going to have to give us more insight into your relationship with your son. A sentence won't do. You will have to give us paragraphs.

There is no excuse for disrespect and a stand has to be made on that, but by the same token he is in high school and some mistakes he has to make and learn for himself. It's a delicate balance between putting a foot in his a$$, and applying a band aid to his boo-boo.

You know he is changing and growing, so back off sometimes and let him grow, but never allow disrespect. Where is his dad?

I think it's a little late to start now. How did you motivate, inspire, create respect when he was younger?

What changed - other than his age?

It's difficult to take your advice seriously when you are using text speak on an adult board.
