View Full Version : White stuff in Extraction site?

Hello,

Today I got two of my teeth extracted. One on the top, and one on the bottom. Both on the same side, and both pre-molars. Had a bit of pain ten minutes after the extraction, but Advil did the job. I've been following all the instructions my dentist gave me, and I've been feeling all right. I'm just worried that I might get a "Dry Socket." There's some white stuff coming out of the blood clot. Although I've read that this is normal, I don't think it should be coming out this early. (Just 6 hours after the extraction). I ate soft pasta today (cold and on the opposite side of my mouth) and just had a bit of soda (without a straw of course). I'm just paranoid that I might get a dry socket. The blood clot seems smaller or deeper inside like there's less of it in my teeth compared to before. It may be because it was bleeding before. It's just one little white piece sticking out of the blood clot, and it's been like that all day. I felt a bit of pain again about 5 hours after the initial pain, but slightly. I need some help here. I don't know if they are healing correctly or if something is wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
