My 8&l/2 yr mini schnauzer has recently stopped eating. She eats maybe about every 3 or 4 days. I have started giving her an appetite booster and multi vitamin. How long should it take for it to start working? I have cut back her on treats. My husband passed away 7 months ago. Could she be grieving? If so what do I do. She doesn't act like she feels bad. No upset stomach. I have even checked her for ticks. She has always barked a lot and is still barking. She runs through the house and yard. She has plenty of energy. She is just not eating. When they get this age, does their appetite get worse. Also she is l5 lbs. It say for 20lbs. Give them l/4 tsp of the appetite meds. I am giving her l/8 of a tsp. should I increase it to l/4 tsp? I have also started giving her a multi vitamin.
