My concrete floor (whole house) was suppose to be acid washed and stained.

Unfortunate for me... lazy contractor (licensed) only did a color wash then sealed it over. I was heartbroken later to find the truth of the matter when the floor atarted coming up in pieces when any adhesive was dropped on floor or moving furniture scraped it up. More so, heartbroken because contractor hired out to have floor scored in 24 x 24 tile size blocks; results is sooooo beautiful!

Question: is there any way to remedy this bum job and save scored look on floor or do I just cover it up?

Was it supposed to be stained with a tinted concrete sealer?
What was the 'color wash' product and what was it sealed with?
Do you have it in writing what the name of the product by brand was going to be?

You might have two problems: one is the wrong product(s) used and the other is dampness coming up through the slab. Did you test the dampness first, with a square of plastic taped down for 2 days? How old is the floor?
The best contractors for this are the ones who do nothing else, or at least are really current on the latest techniques and products.

You can sue the one who did the job, and make him get it off so that you can find someone to do it right, or you can cover it with thin foam and plastic sheeting underlayment for laminate flooring, the fake wood stuff that is less likely to buckle from moisture than engineered wood flooring.
