In the air condition mode the heat pump tries to start up but turns on & off like flicking a light switch. A air conditioning service co. replaced a relay and it worked when he was here but on our first try with it after he left exactly the same
Problem returned. The same tech. came back & replaced the thermostat .It worked again when he was here .On the first attempt to use it after the second repair the same problem returned. My guess is that it's the run capacitor since the start up capacitor is hitting the start up winding with enough current but the run capacitor is not keeping it running. It's a Janitol unit but I don't know the
