My central air stalled out. The fan was moving freely when I pushed it so I replaced the capacitor. It then worked for a while and the fan motor seized. I replaced the fan motor and it ran for about 2 min and the unit stalled out again so I shut it down before it burned out the new fan motor. Any ideas on what else could be causing the unit to stall?

Check the voltage coming into & going out of the contactor. For most residential equipment, you should be reading somewhere around 230 volts.

Thanks Grady... my voltage seems to be good. What happens now is the blower fan starts up fine, but then in about 20 seconds, I hear the compressor start to kick on which causes the whole unit to stall.
