The signature, M Soyer looks similar to others I've seen= He didn't sign exactly the same every time although always (I think) M Soyer, There is damage on the spout. It seems to be fro about the 1939s

Is this an authentic M Soyer oil painting? The signature looks similar but he seemed to vary the shape of his letters in different pieces, There is damage on the spout. It seems to be from the mid 1900s or earlier ,on a stretched canvas.
