From what currently know the Township where I live has only an ordinance that prohibits noise between certain times. I am wondering if you went to a Township meeting could you make a request for an adoption of a more specific sound ordinance? I am thinking a petition might be needed but an adjoining Township has a more specific ordinance for noise. The thing is Township I live covers a large area and most of it is rural. The point I think is my zip code is that of a local town which is a small part of the Township. The rest is more rural and has a different zip code. So I am thinking they might consider an ordinance more in line with the adjoining town that my zip code reflects.

Can't hurt to try. But it might be better to get a town councilman behind you first.

Why don't you approach the owners of your mobile home park and ask them to set some rules? Why approach an entire Township for a very specific problem?

I think because of fear of retribution or persons making the noise would refuse to abide by any such rule. The other thing now that you mentioned it is like most "parks" around here close at something like sunset so why wouldn't that be an applicable rule to use? The Landlord just wants the rent!

I don't see a town adopting the same rules as public parks for private residences. Two very different situations, and sunset will be considered unreasonable. Sunset is common for open areas because that's when visibility goes away, and of course it changes each day.

I think all the cities I lived in in my life have had the same ordinance, quiet 11 pm to 7 am. Small towns; I've never had to ask.

This is a totally side issue but if your mobile home park is so bad - numerous problems posted - why don't you just move to somewhere quieter, safer, cleaner, where you can actually stand your neighbors?
