Hi, I live in a trailer w/ a handicap ramp, the main water meter is underneathit and a hose is attached for outside watering. I have to crawl under the ramp to turn on the spiquet and am wondering what would I need to do to run a hose/pipe or something about 2 feet out from under it so I won't have to get down on my hands and knees and stick my hand in the water meter hole to turn on my hose. The meter seems to have a two way because water for the trailer also comes from the same location but I cannot tell for sure because it is taped up w/ silver duct tape. Please help - thanks

Hi Mgpitts

If you can afford it, you can hire a handyman to extend the outside spigot to a place that is more user friendly.

If you can't afford that then my next solution would be for you to purchase a 5 foot stainless steel braided hose and a hose shutoff (see image).

Connect these to the existing spigot during the season and turn the existing spigot to the ON position for the season. Use the new shutoff to turn the hose for watering on and off when needed.

Note here, that you MUST remove this setup at the end of every season ot it will freeze if you are in an area that freezes up... ;)

Questions? Let me know, OK?
