Hello, My Parents have lived in Fort Worth, Tx for 40 years and are now almost 80 years of age. They have no savings, assets, etc. and only SSI to live on. For a couple of years now, they have had honey bees living on one side of their house, going in & out, no attacks until yesterday. My Dad was going to mow the backyard and they swarmed & stung him all over his head, arms, etc. He is all right but now I am really concerned for their safety. Every beekeeper and company I have called said it could cost anywhere from 400 to 1500.00, or more, to remove the bees & repair the wall. As I said, they cannot afford that and neither can I. So, Is there ANY service, or anyone, anywhere that can do this service and repair for them at not cost ? Please, please help before they come into the house and my parents get hurt. Thank you, Suzanne

If this has been going on for a number of years there are probably multiple nests or one very large nest. And, yes, the bees will eventually eat their way into the house.

Have you tried local Senior Citizen organizations for assistance?

If it is a health hazard - and apparently it is - the local Health Department might be able to refer you to a Housing Authority/Inspection person who can help.
