I have to take a 14 panel drug test, which includes ethanol, for nursing school. I'm assuming the ethanol part of the test is an EtG test, but I'm not for sure. I had three sips of a margarita on Friday around 9:30 p.m. and my test is at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The school said to abstain from alcohol for seven days prior to testing, but from the research I've done online, an EtG test is only sensitive to the alcohol metabolites up to 80 hours prior. Can anyone give me some reassurance or more information about a 14 panel drug test?

Are you certain you aren't being tested tot ETOH? I was tested for that in nursing school versus EtG. Thus abstinence is a must.
