Hello Granmadidi gave me advice thank you didi, hoping you'll respond again I fell at work than fired. I did report the injury in fact while I was filling out the paperwork the boss came in and fired me on unrelated cause. I went to the doc that day and he took x-rays and reccomonded no work and referred me to a orthopedic surgeon because I do have damage. Do I get benefits? Thanks so much...

What state do you live in? If your MD links it back to work your work injury. Good job on reporting it. You have 30 days to do that. You did it in writing!

Yes, you wre injured at work, you filled out the paperwork, went to the doctor and hopefully he filled out the worker's comp papers. Your employer thinks he has skirted the liability issue by firing you. Tough on him. Good luck to you. You may need an attorney experienced in employment laws (esp pertaining to worker's comp). It is a good idea to obtain one - to make sure you will not be railroaded into anything and all the I's are dotted and the t's crossed.
