When I speak to someone or in front of people I am not confident because my voice is really unclear it is mumbling. And deep I've tried to speak low but they must be able to hear. And it still sounds the same. I have started a course and in there we have to do team work speaking in front of people role plays and sceanarios. And presentations a lot I caanot do it and get really upset because of my voice they can understand when I'm near people but not from far? And because of this I am willing to change my course. My parents don't understand it. Help

Read out loud. Check out children's books and read out loud to young neighbors or relatives. Enunciate your words and do voices for the various people in the books. Vary your voice volume as appropriate for the story, from a whisper to a loud voice. Be sure to read the books and practice before you read to others.

Have you looked into speech therapy?

When you say they can understand you when near to you, do you mean your voice is different because you feel less stressed, or that they just can figure out your words better?
If your voice doesn't change, you may have a throat structure that makes it physically difficult for you. Hopefully your family can encourage the family doctor to find a specialist in this area to take a look at you, in addition to speech therapy.

Are you the original poster of the question? Speech therapy is administered by a licensed therapist. It will help in pronunciation, enunciation, and clarity. Are you in school?
