I am 7 weeks going on 8 weeks pregnant. My first prenatal appointment isn't for a few more days but I have noticed an orangy colored discharge on 3 different occasions when I went to the bathroom. I do have lower back discomfort and but no major cramping in my abdominal area. Im worried about a miscarriage or even an ectopic pregnancy. Is there always major symptoms or does it happen gradually? Or is this normal and I should not worry. I know my best bet is to just wait and see what happens at the doctors but I can't help but think the worst.. I am 21 years old with my first pregnancy and haven't been sexually active in over a week.. please any information will help!

I think I would call my doctor's office and ask to speak to the nurse. She may decide it is important to have you come in before your scheduled appt.

I agree - call the doctor and they will likely get you in early, if for no other reason than to put your mind at ease. IN the meantime be sure to drink plenty of water. An OB nurse on the site posted not too long ago in response to another post that dehydration can contribute to spotting. I believe she recommended at least ten 8-oz. glasses of water daily.
