My Daughter had braces fitted on the NHS when she was about 12 years old. She had the braces on for about 4 years. After having the braces removed she was given a retainer and followed all the advice given to her, but the teeth have gone really crooked, especially the two front teeth [ one sticks forward more than the other]. We took her back to the orthodontist and he said that we would have to pay to have further treatment and that there was no guarantee that it would work. We cannot afford to pay thousands of pounds for the treatment and are not willing to raise the money if there are no guarantees that it would work. My daughter is now 17 years old and really distressed about the condition of her teeth. Is there any action that we can take against the orthodontist or can we get restorative treatment on the NHS?
