I have an LG refrigerator with a bottom freezer/ice make in door. The ice maker stopped filling with water, and after several visits by repair people we have concluded that the water supply line from the valve to the ice maker is freezing (when it does get water the ice maker functions as it is supposed to except it doesn't refill.) We have checked out the valve and know it is good and we have detected an obstruction in the line that clears after the ice maker is turned off so the line warms above freezing temp. The repair man says this model has a heater on the supply line and that the heater has failed. Further, it is a non-replaceable part and the only solution is to replace the whole door in which the ice maker is located. Can anyone confirm that is the only solution? The refrigerator model is LFX 25960ST.
