You should always be present in court when there's a matter involving you, even if it's not required. Otherwise, you have no voice in what goes on. Your attorney could misrepresent you, or the judge could determine that since he can't ask you what he wants to know, he'll rule against you.

Dress the part - be neat and clean in a nice clean shirt with a collar and dress slacks, a belt, clean shaven, hair trimmed. Look interested and responsible and things will go probably go well for you, given that you've honored the terms of your probation.

If you don't show up, the judge might think poorly of you.

If you have a court date, but normally you will just get a letter from the PO department a few weeks latter
