On Friday evening my daughter arrived home from work around 1:15 in the morning, and was standing in the kitchen washing her hands while talking with her husband. There is a mirror above the sink, and she glanced up at herself and thought that she looked as tired as she felt. She turned her head to the left to look at her husband and suddenly felt her right cheek begin to burn and hurt. She looked back in the mirror and there were 3 skinny scratches on her face that hadn't been there a moment ago. She'd forgotten something in the car, so she went out to get it, taking her husband's service pitbull with her. As she approached her car she heard what she thought was an animal - she said there was a skittering noise, combined with what she can only describe as the sound that you'd get if you crossed a monkey with an odd bird. She told her husband to grab the dog, as he was trying to approach the sound to investigate. As he grabbed the dog's collar she suddenly heard the same noise above her in the trees, but not one - many of these creatures were all over the yard and the tree. She couldn't see anything though - no eye shine, no shadows. She had an ominous feeling that she was going to be attacked if she moved quickly (they live IN town, not out in the country) and slowly inched her way to the house about 20 feet away. She and her husband listened out the window, while shining flashlights outside looking for whatever was making the sounds - which finally subsided about 45 minutes after they started. She said she was shocked that none of the neighbors were coming out to investigate - especially the ones who live in the other side of their duplex. Nobody did though - it was the middle of the night so she supposes they were sleeping.

Her question is - what, except perhaps demons - could scratch her while her husband watched, and could it be connected to these sounds with no connected visible source? By the way, we live in Western Washington - and there aren't any animals outside of a zoo that we know of that make those sounds in our area - at least none we've heard of. Any insight at all would be helpful - or at least a direction to begin our search for answers.

Perhaps the allergic reaction to something she applied on skin or eaten. Sometimes sinks and bathrooms,or kitchen tops are full of germs and allergic stuff. Tell her to recall carefully what she has consumed or touched on same day or earlier. Does your daughter facing any social, career or personal problems. Does she has work pressure? Some child problem ? Childhood memories or disease? Some medication she is taking? Address all these issues then think of paranormal. And still if you want some paranormal solution then just go on internet download Hanuman Chalisa, in English and if possible a picture of Lord Hanuman, and put that picture in home on wall. Read chalisa in front of picture daily, if possible evening and meditate on picture. With in one week problem will be solved, if any.

Very interesting. If it was just the sounds of strange animals outside I would write it off pretty fast... but the ominous feeling with the scratches that came from no where do add to the account.

While this isn't the type of thing you hear of in "main stream" demonic lore, I know of many accounts of spiritual manifestation that involve unknown animals... or cyptids, as they are called. The spirit world can manifest in just about every known physcial form, which makes me wonder if the spirit world even really has a "foundational" form to begin with. Spirits can take the form of animals or cryptids... or even manifest in a way that seems to draw uncommon amounts of normal animals... such as a infestation of flies or snakes.

Is there anything out of the ordianary you can think of that may have drawn them to the home... or given them a right to be there? Anything odd in your past... or possibly the past of the home?
