Good morning!
I'm working on a lesson for my Ladies Bible Class on March 26, 2013, and I want to use contrasts to make my point. I remember seeing a film many years ago when I was quite young that has a scene in it that can help make my point, but for the life of me, I can't remember what film it was from.

I'm fairly certain this was a black and white film. A young man is enamored by a beautiful young woman, and he follows her into a church. There, he can't help but overhear the prayers being whispered by other people, and they're all asking for something for themselves. I seem to remember some ask for wealth, power, etc, but I'm not certain. Then the young man hears the prayers of the beautiful young woman, and her prayers are always for other people, never for herself.

The contrast between the humility of the young woman and the selfishness & greed of the others really made an impression on my mind as a girl. But I'd like to be able to identify the film in my lesson and not just the scene. Anybody out there know what movie this scene is from?

Thanks so much,
Miss Cris
