Basically, I don't have anything. My sister my brother and my parents basically get anything they want and all I have is a phone. My sister has a kindle, phone, 3ds and my mom now has an iPad mini, iPhone 5, laptop, and a 500 music

Are we hearing the whole story here? I doubt it.

My daughter has a laptop, a Wii, and a TV. She earned them.

My son has a TV, an xbox, a tablet, a cell phone. He earned them.

So, what is your family doing to earn these things, that you're not?

And age makes a difference too. The arguments my younger sibs used to have and whine about to my parents was that I got to stay up later than they did, but I was the oldest child by four years and was VERY well behaved and was a VERY good student.

I didn't get to finish, my mom took away my phone. But I don't know, I work hard and I do everything they say. And I basically don't get anything. And like my brother and sister will ask for anything and they will sooner or later get it. I'm paying attention in school. Like I just want a iPhone 5 instead of the 4s. Is that too much to ask. Oh and an iPad mini and a Mac. I know they can afford it. My mom buys shoes that cost 2000. Can she at least spend money on the clothes I actually need. I mean I have a closet and it's not that full but I can't be wearing the same outfits every week.

Wow!

So you think that you should have an Ipad, because you expect it? That's what's wrong with youth today, they think they deserve, without working for it, everything they want.

Does your mom work? If so, why shouldn't she spend 2000 on shoes? I'd love to see these 2000 dollar shoes. Exaggerate much?

OMG! You have to wear the same outfits every week? There are children in the world that are lucky to have even one outfit to wear. They don't think about or worry about Ipads, they worry about having one meal every day!

You're selfish, and ungrateful.

If you want all the things you think you're entitled to have, then work for them, like everyone else has to. The only things a parent needs to provide for you, is a roof over your head, food, an education, and clothing. You have those, so consider yourself lucky.

How old are you? How about you do jobs in your neighbor hood to buy all the stuff you feel you deserve.

And thinks she deserves an iPhone 5 without doing anything to earn it.

Sigh.

The next generation, if this keeps up, will be the ones that ultimately lead to our destruction.

Why did your mom take your phone away?

Probably because the credit cards were over limit.

2000 dollar shoes, I don't think so. Sounds like this kid hasn't learned enough where to put dollar signs
