Ok, I’ve been in a relationship for a little over a year now, 95% of it has been long distance. Recently an old acquaintance (FWB) has come back into the picture. In TOWN she’s my best friend that I could tell anything to and be open with about everything. Same with girlfriend, but lately it’s been feeling a LOT like I’m single. We talk over the phone all the time, my girlfriend I mean but not lately. It’s going on 4 days with no contact, because her phone got shutoff. If I wasn't on probation, I’d have made my way up there and just surprise her.

Anyway, I was hanging out with my former FWB the other night and one thing led to another... yes, sexual intercourse. I feel KIND of bad. I DO love my go, but if she really wanted to move down here she would've right? I ask her all the time "when are you coming back for good?" She replies with "as soon as I get my income tax". I find THAT hard to believe BECAUSE everyone I know already got there tax return. Well except me due to me filing really late, but she SAYS she filed in the beginning of last month. Could it be she’s just stringing me along? Was I wrong to sleep with my friend? Is it wrong that I don’t really feel all that bad? Should I expect this entire whole past year and a month to just be one big joke on her part?

In need of some answers that She's obviously not giving me? I’m just seems a little suspicious, and too far out there in the convenience of it all on her part. This is the longest I’ve been with ANYONE. Well besides my failed marriage and NOT by much. Any input on the matter will be appreciated.

Why do I think you are trying to talk yourself into justifying your cheating on your girl? Forget it, as cheating is a bad thing no matter what your reasons were so get your act together and talk it out with her.

You seem to have bad luck with your relationships and being single until you can be honest with yourself, and have more self control over yourself seems to be a better option for you now.

It may be your only option once your girl finds out you cheated, so will you be man enough to tell her?

I told her and she understood... maybe she did the same who knows, MAYBE that's why she's OK with it.

I just read about your other problems and think that it plays a big role in both her, and your decisions so far.

Expecting her to give up a job and a life to live with a guy on probation with few resources is a bit much. You have much rebuilding to do. Even people who don't drink can have stinking thinking when it comes to making important decisions that have consequences later.
