What does his Physician say? Children develop, of course, at different rates.

I don't know what you mean by synonyms for letters in the alphabet. You are not English speaking?

I think she means A = apple, B = banana, C = cauliflower, D = doughnut...

Does he speak your native language or dialect?

You expect a 3 year old to speak in full sentences? That's impatient and ridicules. Adjust your own expectations and be more patient, he will get there soon, at his own pace. If you push, and make his progress a chore, instead of a joy, he will learn to please you, but not smile at himself.

Don't push, guide with loving patience. Enjoy and celebrate what he has accomplished and be grateful for what he has achieved so far.

Hello Everybody,

Thanks for your suggestions...

My son can tell at least 3-4 objects against each alphabet.. Like A=Apple,Ant,aeroplane etc..

He can identify all the colours...

also today I have discovered that he can write all by himself at least 10 alphabets...

Though he does all these, yet he is not speaking in sentences, even joing 3-4 words. This is what worrying me now...

Please suggest...

You are worrying needlessly. He sounds like a very bright child. If he has no hearing problem and seems to be speaking clearly when he does speak, just be sure to talk in full sentences yourself. Read to him, play games and with his toys with him, and enjoy him!

There are too many famous and accomplished people in the world to count who didn't talk at all until past 3. I saw an interview with a PhD who didn't say one word until she was 5, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with her. She isn't even a reclusive, bookworm type. It's not meaningful.
