I live in the state of Indiana and I live with my dad who has sole custody ever since I was in 4th grade. And in 4 days I will be turning 17 I have told him over and over again I want to live with my mom who lives in the state of Indiana just in a different county but every time I bring it up he threatens me or makes threats towards my mom I'm tired of the bullying I am being put through and I'm ready to move out I don't want to be considered a runaway or get my mom in trouble I just want to be back with her she's my mommy. My dad always ignores me and works late every night of the week and then gripes about how I'm never home on the weekends (his only days off) but yet he knows I go to my moms every weekend. I just want to get out of his house and be with my mom I'm so confused I just don't know what to do. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE AT ALL THAT CAN HELP ME

Deal with it... because it would HAVE to go through the court... that means Lawyers will have to be paid... and by the time this gets to a hearing.. you are going to be so close to 18 it's a huge waste of time and money... then at 18 you can leave and go live under a bridge if that's what you want to do.

You cannot, without your father's and the court's permission. As soon as you turn 18, you can.
Emancipation of minors is extremely difficult to get, requires that you fully support yourself, and you can't live with either parent in Indiana if you get it.

Why hasn't mom filed for a change of custody. That's the only way you can move in with her. At least not until you are 18.

Is your mom taking any legal steps to help you do this ?
