I have read over a couple of the posts about transfer. I understand it is a right by some standards. I also know I have rights. I recently placed a transfer request to move from Louisiana to Georgia. I was asked by my PO to establish a job and residence. My fiancé moved out there over 3 weeks ago and set up residence and I have a job waiting. I meet all the criteria set up by the probation office there. I submitted a letter stating my reasons for transfer and listing references located there in Georgia. It took them little time to get out to check on my home and job. While talking to my fiancé, they kept asking her if she knew me and my past. Long story short, they told her they'd give her some time to think about it. When I called to check on the status of the transfer, I was informed she declined me coming out there. So I call her to find out what happened. She was livid. Nothing like that was said. She contacted them to come back out and explain about their report. She was told they'd be out last week. Never showed, nor called. I need to know would it do any good to have our attorney make contact on this matter? If so, what should the content of the letter be? Please advise. Thank you
