My 2001 ford escape xlt 3.0 automatic stalls as soon as I start it.
As soon as I let go of the key.
I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it going until it is warmed up .
Then it runs fine.
I have replaced all the spark plugs and ignition coils
Two oxygen sensors and the rear catalytic converter but still no change.
What could be wrong with it?
Thanks

I'd focus on the MAF Sensor and the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor. Best to stay away from remanufactured MAF Sensors and go with a Motorcraft. Check for codes and pending codes with an advanced scan tool.

I have checked it out with the scan tool
But it says ignition coils 1 and 3 are misfiring.
I have already replaced them
The last time it said the coils and 2 o2 sensors.
Have replaced them and still the same
Thanks

Are you using the same Motorcraft spark plugs that came in the vehicle?

mass airflow
Could it be the cat converters in the exhaust manifolds?

If so, a code should definitely have been thrown.

Check the evap system fords are known for this faulty canister vent solinoid it releases the fumes when the can't your call will stall or won't start. You probably have a p1451 code check it again

I have since cleaned the maf sensor and replaced the idle air control valve.
Still no change.
I rescaned it and it says p0171 gereric system too lean (bank one)
