I have been trying to get pregnant since over 9 months now but today something really strange happened with me, my period started yesterday, and today when I went to the wash room a condom came out from me. The last time my husband used a condom was about one and a half year back. It was extremely black in colour and smelt like nothing I've ever smelt before; very gross.
So I’d like to know if I need to worry about anything? Your help and advice in this matter would be much appreciated.

It was a condom because I checked it with my own hands. :(

Pam if you had something that bad inside you for a year and a half, you would have serious infection problems. I suggest you go to your doctor and have a check up; we cannot diagnose on the internet. This is a highly personal issue for you, you need professional intervention. You need to find out if whatever was inside you that length of time caused any permanent damage.

Did you not ever have any foul odor, discoloration from discharge in all that time?

Thank you for your replies.
I wasn't having any sort of pains, or discolouration in discharge but I was getting this terrible odour and I did bring it to my husband's knowledge a few times. My periods were regular and seemed quiet normal except for a few times that I had a lot of black blood coming out from me.

What do you think the damage could be? Do I need to worry about anything?
Should I have an ultrasound and then consult a Gynecologist?
Please advise.
