Hi, I dropped a whole bottle of ABS cement into my newly installed bathroom sink. The sink appears to be made of porcelain, or something similar to toilets.

It has dried for the last 3-4 days as I thought it would just peal offonce dry... well, it doesn't.

What solvent could I use to clean up this mess? Would MEK work? Would it damage the porcelain sink?

Try acetone but test in a place where it won't show. BTW a toilet is vitreous china, like a plate or dish. Make sure the room is wel ventilated, soak a sponge in acetone, lay on top of the glue and cover with a plastic bag which can be tapped along the edges to slow evaporation of the solvent. Let soak for 10 minutes and then take aputty knife to it

It worked like a charm!
I used a paper towel soaked in acetone. At first, it merely appeared to smear the cement over a wider area, but within a minute, half a can of dryed ABS cement was gone.

Thanks a lot!
