I have polycystic fybrosis and have an extremely irregular period. Lately I have been feeling tired, bloated, crampy, light headed, nauseous (not to the point of actually throwing up) and boiling hot. I have also been slightly constipated. My last period was about 4 months ago which is pretty normal for me. I've been feeling quite fat lately and crampy for the last few days. I normally get bad cramps just the day before my period but it feels different this time round. I can feel I have put on weight but I'm not sure if I am actually pregnant! Advice please!

I'll tell you what everyone else will tell you.. as well as any doctor. Take a test and find out after you are a few weeks late... since you are irregular wait a few more weeks and take a test. Unless your period comes before then.

Anything else is doing nothing but making wild guesses.

Well, to be honest. I have already taken 3 home pregnancy tests and all showed negative. My mom said her home pregnancy tests all showed negative but she then did a blood test at the doctor and she was in fact pregnant. If I am pregnant I would already be almost 3 months.

Then you obviously need to go to the doctor at this point... that is the only answer. If you are pregnant, you and the baby need care. If you're not pregnant, then at least you will know.

Yes, I have an appointment booked. All these thoughts are just making me crazy. That normal 'Am I or am I not?' Is the one that takes over the most. So I'm just trying to get some kind of a guideline and closure for now until I do go. Thanks for all the advice. I'm holding thumbs.

Unfortunately, we can't really help you. We try to help here but on a topic like this, there really isn't much we can say or do. Being checked out is the best (and really only) way to know.

Good luck.

Its possible you took a test early... its possible you took a test incorrectly... its possible you really aren't pregnant at all. Because outside of a few physical changes... there really are no "symptoms".
