I had an abortion on the 26 of January, at a government hospital. After talking the pills, they cleaned my womb. The bleeding wad very light and lasted for about 3 days. A few days later I saw spotting, then I started bleeding again on day 11, and I have pains inside my womb almost every day. Its sometimes unbearable. No foul smelling discharge/ fever. Just the bleeding n the pain.

Should I be worried? How long is the pain suppose to last?

I've never had an abortion but have had many D&Cs (the procedure they use to dilate the cervix and scrape out the uterus which you apparently had, too). It should not be bleeding this long afterward and you should not have pain nearly three weeks later. I've had the procedures after incomplete miscarriages (baby died but was not delivered) and for endometriosis (a disease condition).

You should go to your OB/GYN and make sure you do not have an infection. This is very important to preserve your fertility for the future, and your general health.

It might be nothing but it seems wrong, as you apparently are aware, to have bleeding and pain for this long. It would be normal to have cramping for a day or two, and some initial bleeding that would taper off within several days. By several days out you should feel pretty normal, other than, of course, emotion and hormonal adjustment to no longer being pregnant.
