This is embarrassing. I am 16 and I have this lump on the side of my scrotum, the left side. Its About 1cm away from the leg, so its fairly close to the leg, and not anywhere near the testicles or the glands. It's been about maybe 1 week. I just realized it was still there. I believe it is just a cyst or pimple. It is not attached to the testicles or the glands but is on the side of the scrotum very close to the crotch. Like it's situated right where the sac meets the leg. Because of walking constantly during passing periods at school it aggrivates the area so it enlarges again from the morning. I also found this thread that says if it's a cyst it can tend to be aggrivated if you scratch or squeeze it. And also this thing is in the vicinity of pubic hairs, and there are no hairs growing out of this spot but is surrounded by hair, and there seems to be a mass in it, very hard too. Hurts when its squeezed, but doesn't hurt when left alone or just merely rubbed. It is not exactly round, but more ovalish. What do I do?

If it does not go away in a couple of weeks, you might have to see a doctor. Your parents will probably have to take you.

It could be a boil. Google "boil" and see if it looks anything like a boil.

If it is a boil, I have a great remedy. Go to the grocery shop and to the spice aisle. Get a spice called Turmeric. In my opinion it is the WORST tasting stuff ever. But you aren't going to taste it. Add some water to a small amount of turmeric to make a paste. Before you go to bed, completely cover the boil with the paste and put a bandaid over it. If it is a boil it will be gone when you wake up. It will turn your skin yellow but only for a short time and nobody should be seeing that part of you anyway.
