Depends on how long you have not had the old number,

Can you still log into your old account with username and password.
If so, then you should be able to activate your old account.

They do everything by chat or email, log into the account for set up help

MagicJack has lots of problems and their website is terribly lacking in good technical date. I sent mine back after 2 days. If you are really broke and you are willing to put up with all the inconvenience of what it does and doesn't do, then it might be worth it.
