Visa Status(From Oct 12):H1
Gross Salary:45506.22
Total Federal Tax: 7731.01
Total State Tax:2143.83

a) How much will be Federal tax refund?

b) How much will be state tax refund?
Jan 1 to feb 29 : MI
March 1 to Oct 31:CT
Nov 1 to December 31:MA

I would need the dates of when you worked in each state, and how the W-2 allocated your salary between the states, to determine your state tax liabilities.
