Very strange dream; some background on myself; I'm in my mid-twenties pregnant (maybe explains strange dreams), my grandmother has alzheimers.
I had this dream last night we were in a doctor's office or hospital waiting room. The doctor walk out with x-rays and I couldn't make out exactly what he was saying but I saw the x-rays and I could see little spines in different areas of the body. And my grandmother was not in pain she was content. If you are familiar with alzheimers, she was in a content mood but had no idea who or what we were doing.
Can anyone give me insight to this bizarre dream? Am I scared and so are my aunts that we show early signs of this horrible disease. That might be a link? And I'm pregnant due to me obviously going the my doctor on a regular basis? Do you think this dream may foretell anything specific?

No, I don't believe dreams forecast the future. If there is a family history of Alzheimers, yes, I'd be concerned. Early testing is available.

I'm sure you have read about mother animals who eat, kill, or leave to die one or more of their offspring. Voilà, you put them together in a dream. No one knows why we dream, but some think it's to sort out our lives. You may be worried that she might unwittingly do something to harm your baby.
