I'm wondering if I could marry an illegal with a felony and grant him status? Have been with him for four years and want to get married but I have a felony would like to know what my options are please help!!

Please be more specific... if it is smuggling people across the border, then the answer is no.

First they are illegal, so they will have to return to their own nation to apply for visa to come to this nation to marry you. It is doubtful with that conviction they would consider allowing them to come back. Best hope is to hire an immigration attorney to work on this.

Of course in love, you can just move to their country till all of their visa issues are resolved

Ok yes it was for smuggling. So does that mean we can't even marry? Or just that I would have to go to their country?

You can get married but he is ineligible to get green card. Nothing to do with returning to home country or not.

Ok I have another question do I have to wait until I'm off probation to marry? I haven't talked to po yet

What are you on probation for ? But normally probation has nothing to do with being married, unless they are on probation or a wanted criminal.

You can marry, but that gives them no rights or protection, only that when they are deported, they are still married to you

I'm on probation for smuggling that part I understand I won't be able to get status for him. So wanted to know if me being on probation was going to permit me from not getting married until I'm off
