I just bought a replacement ice maker for GE refrigerator PTS18SHSSS. The replacement ice maker is IM4A. Here's the catch, the original ice maker water valve has two power connectors and the new one only has one. In addition the old one has an extra hose. I replaced the old water valve with the new (single connector). I should mention that the installation instruction say to use the new water valve or you could break the machine. Ice maker seems to be getting water however now my water dispenser does not function. Is it okay to use the old water valve or should I keep the new one installed and just lose function of my water dispenser (which is not big deal I never use it)?

Thanks!

Leave the other valve hooked up for your water.
