Up until about three months ago we had hot water flowing then out of nowhere there is no water flow but there is in the cold water. What can I do?

Call a plumber and get it fixed and consider yourself lucky the board of health hasn't shut you down yet.


Seriously.. thats a major health code violation... you can't wash anything properly and legally in cold water in any food service situation.

And they do order restaurants shut down until repairs are made every day. But just think... you will get free advertising when they drop in to inspect you and find no hot water at the dishwashing station... because those citations are public information and newspapers print who got busted every week.

Yeah, agree with smoothy... pretty important to get straightened out here!

You may have an inline STRAINER/FILTER attached to the hot water feed to the dishwasher... may be clogged and need to be cleaned out... see image. Loosen the cap to remove the strainer and clean if present.

Otherwise, chase the pipe back and see what is inline that could be clogged or got shutoff by an unhappy employee, perhaps... ;)

Only other thought would be to disconnect the line to the faucet and see if that or the shutof is clogged.
