Is it possible for me to relocate before the child is born without penalties

I would think so, yes., but, It probably depends on what state you live in too. Besides, why wouldn't you want him to know his own child?

Yes I do. I am a legal resident of Louisiana but I filed for divorce in Florida.

How could you file in FL if you are a legal resident of LA? Before you can file, you have to meet residency requirements in FL.

It depends on what you mean by penalties. Your husband is the legal father of your child. Until a court rules otherwise, he has equal rights to the child. A court might rule that you moved to keep the child from the father. It might even go so far as to award him primary custody (long shot). The more likely scenario is he being given generous visitation at your expense. There are a lot of factors that will be involved here.

I was stationed in Florida. What factors could be involved? I have an Injunction for Protection against domestic violence against him also

There are too many to list, but having an order of protection certainly makes a difference in your favor.

But being stationed in FL still may not have been enough to legally file, not sure about that.
