Hello, I have raised my children by myself, when I moved from Fl. To Las Vegas . I filed for support when I moved to LV, the court system took their time so I got no where and nothing for my son. When my son said he wanted to go live with his dad I let him. A few months after I was hit with support payments and a mandated health coverage for him. His dad has a great paying job working for a hospital in Fl with great health benefits. I can no longer afford the payments for health coverage that my son does not use. What can I do to change this portion of the order? My son turns 18 in April will the support end then? Please help

There are some pieces missing from your story. You filed for support in Nevada, the child went to live with the other parent, and suddenly the Nevada court ordered you to pay health insurance? Did the father counter-sue you for support? Did you respond to his motion?

Did you go to the courts to modify the custody order? Please fill in the gaps so we can help you.

For this to have happened, dad had to go to court, have court hearings and ask for support.
I assume you failed to attend any of those hearings ?
But you file a motion to admend, in the court that has jurisdiction. I will be honest by the time you file and it gets heard, he will be 18 in April,
You will spend most likely more money on filing and going to court that would would buying a few months of insurance on a minor.
