What is the actual cause of a woman after intercourse,experienced a discharge of a volume quantity of sperm that was released into her? Will that affect her lead cause to be pregnant?if yes what's the solutions?

Some sperm goes past the cervix, but a lot of it doesn't, and what goes in has to come out some how. Usually a wet spot on the sheets or what not.
