I have a 97 ford expedition it is not a 4wd my truck will go in reverse but it will not go in drive I even tried putting in the other drive gears and nothing happen could some one please help me fix this problem

Your trans may be shot due to over use or harsh use. Have it checked by a pro to see if it needs to be replaced.

I don't know any one that is a pro on transmissions around here and I can't drive it I had a mechanic fix some other problems on the truck It was going forward before he did work on it but he can't figure out why it won't go forward any more only reverse he don't know if he knocked something loose or anything he can't.find the problem

Thoughts:

. Check/replace the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS). Check the linkage going to the TRS. It may need alignment with a specialized tool or it may be bad.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

. Check for codes and pending codes.
