View Full Version : Kitchen faucet delay before water flows

About a month ago the faucet in the kitchen sink began to pause for a few seconds before the water would flow. It's gotten worse and now there is typically 5-10 seconds before the water starts flowing. You can bypass the problem if you just open the water flow slightly and gradually increase it. I read a couple of posts online that said this might be some kind of blockage in the area at the end where the screen sits. I disassembled that and checked for blockage/debris and put it back together but no luck. Any ideas?

Hi AT1

Is this a single handle faucet?

Does this happen when you use both hot and cold water or just with hot water or just with cold water flow? How about warm water flow?

Finally, does this faucet have a spray on the side or is the sparay in the spout that pulls out of the faucet?

Let me know the answers and we'll see what we think, OK?
