Hi, I'm in the uk and pregnant. My partner and father of the baby is albanian and of course not allowed into the uk. Before doing our research we applied for a general visitor while I was in albania with him which of course was refused.
I've been looking into bringing him here to marry and then settle. I've seen the fee is £1075 for the applicaion alone so I'd rather know if we have a chance rather than throwing that kind of money away. I've started collecting anything that can possibly count towards supporting documents and am due to start work in January (although not for long with the baby). There's no way I can meet the financial requirement of 18.6k a year as I've been living in Greece for the last few years so am now pretty much starting my life again. My partner is now looking for work in albania which isn't proving easy but I have faith he'll do it. He should also be taking his english exam on January 12th.
But I need to know, is it hopeless? What documents could I provide to show the baby is his?
Anything you can tell me that can help me will be greatly appreciated as I don't really know where else to go.
