Hello,
I would really appreciate and be grateful for answers to the following questions, first here are some background information:
-I have been a green card holder for the past 2 and a half years.
-I have been scholarized in america for the past 10 years and recently graduated from an American University in April 2012.
-To be able to apply for my citizenship I have 13 months left to live in America in the next 2 and a half years.
Due to family issues I have had to go back to Europe, but I do not know how long it will be for. (most likely a couple years). I do not want to lose my green card as I am 100% planning to move back to America eventually. I also really want to get my citizenship in 2 and a half year.
I rent an apartment in the US, I also have a car, a bank account… and I am planning to keep all of that.
Now here are the questions:
-If I am planning on going back to America a couple weeks every 6 months for the next couple years, is there any risks of losing my green card?
-If my job qualifies under the form N-470 but I have not lived in America for an uniterrupted 1 year, does that mean I automatically do not qualify for that form or is there exceptions?
-How many times can I get a reentry permit? If I do get one, how long does that let me be out of the USA without any risks of losing my green card on upon return.
Many thanks in advance

File re-entry permit and it will be good for 2 years. You can do it twice, but will have to start from zero towards naturalization.
