I have a 3 month old american bulldog/boxer and two 5 year old labs. The puppy is very hyper and wants to play and nipp at the other dogs and they don't like it or want to play. What can I do?

Puppies are puppies, and they're hyper and play, and bite. It's a puppy thing.

Wear him out. Go for long walks with him, throw a stick for him in the yard, and tire him out so he doesn't have as much energy to bug the older dogs.

She's a puppy. Puppies need to learn to walk on the leash. All puppies are skittish at first. It's working with the puppy, using proper training techniques, and then getting them used to the leash.

Start by introducing a collar, if the puppy isn't wearing one. Show her the collar, let her sniff it, and when she comes to you, give her a treat. After a day or two try to put the collar on, give treats while doing this, and praise. Let her wear the collar for a while, and then take it off. Do this a few times a day for a few days, and then leave the collar on.

Next step is the leash. Same process as the collar.

Once she accepts the leash, walk around the house with leash and collar on. Call her name and get her to follow you, staying beside you. Lots of treats and praise.

After a few days of this you're going to venture outside. First day is a short walk, maybe just to the end of the driveway, and a bit down the street. Lots of praise and treats when she follows you.

Build up to going around the block, and then for an actual walk.

Remember, everything is new for this pup. Everything is a first. Take it slow, and lots of positive reinforcement. Dogs aren't born knowing how to walk on a leash.
